“What I have learned from my guru [is that] you can reach enlightenment… living in the middle of the society, living with people, surrounded with all kinds of people, all kinds of challenges. It’s how you face it.
It’s all about looking at myself. Today’s Satsang is all about paying attention to the catalyst of any action. No matter where we are, no matter what situation we are in, what is the catalyst for this action? Is it fear-based?Sometimes we engage in acts, we do things that are fear-based. Can my action come from love and trust?
…Trust in what? The ultimate trust is trusting yourselves…Whatever comes, I will deal with it. Sometimes we are not strong enough to have that trust in ourselves. Then we put it somewhere else, a little outside of ourselves…In the first step it’s necessary to have somewhere, someplace outside of ourselves to establish that [trust]. It is because of that in India…the Guru-based tradition started…Here is my Guru Peeth, where I develop love and trust and do my spiritual work.”
