Effort Towards the Happiness of All

June, 01, 2025

Babaji speaks to us on the sacredness of life itself—particularly Prana Shakti, the life force that animates us. This life energy is freely given and more precious than anything money or effort can buy, yet it is often overlooked. Spiritual life begins by recognizing and honoring this gift, and turning inward rather than being pulled outward by constant desires and distractions. True spiritual effort, is not passive. It involves keen observation of the mind, resisting the pull of craving and indulgence, and choosing simplicity not out of deprivation but clarity.

Real austerity is saying “no” to what we don’t need, even when it’s easily available. Worship (puja) is not merely ritual—it is expressed through goodwill, peaceful action, and a sincere desire for the happiness of all. This selflessness forms the heart of spiritual life: finding joy not in personal gain but in uplifting others, even in quiet, simple ways—like feeding someone, resolving a conflict, or caring for a living being.

In this world where suffering is often internal and hidden, , especially in materially abundant places, service means tending to emotional wounds and relational fractures. The essence of the teaching is clear: purify the heart, stay simple, serve quietly, and seek the joy of others as your own. Even the smallest sincere effort in this direction becomes a powerful offering and blessing.
