Sonoma Ashram Foundation Day – Celebrating 30 Years

On September 21, 1991, Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ramji and Babaji along with Baba Anil Ramji and Father Dunsten inaugurated Sonoma Ashram in Sonoma, California.

“At that time I was living at Sky Farm in the Sonoma hills and Baba was visiting from India. September 21 is the day that we traditionally celebrate the founding of Sri Sarveshwari Samooh – the social service organization that Baba founded in India in 1961. I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to receive his blessing. We wrapped flower petals into the flag and raised it. We did a small puja, and then Baba then pulled the cord, showering us with flower petals. I felt deep within as if Baba’s blessings had been bestowed for the beginning of an ashram in Sonoma. The ancient lineage of Aghor had officially arrived in the U.S.“
