On this special occasion, we honor the day that Babaji first received food after starting his life as a sadhu. After leaving his worldly life and setting out with nothing other than his Guru’s Blessing, Babaji arrived in Sonoma. After 3 days without food or shelter, on July 4th, the Divine Mother appeared in the form of Patty Westerbeke, and offered Babaji his first meal as a sadhu. This was the sign that he was on the right path, as his Guru had predicted.
