We are excited to offer a new residency program for those interested in being immersed in a spiritual environment while engaging in social service. Varanasi is a hub of spiritual life where true “spirituality” is lived rather than learning from books. Our Ashram is located outside of the busy city center, in a peaceful, tucked away location on the banks of the Ganga river.

The residential role requires serving as a mentor and assisting the resident children with school matters in addition to various household chores and groundwork around the Ashram. Additionally, the individual must be willing to assist with the management of short-term guests and retreat groups. There may also be an opportunity to teach English at our nursery school and assist in the preparation and distribution of weekly meals to people in need. Free room and board (3 meals/day) will be provided.

Our ideal candidate is:

• Active and in good health
• Self-starter who is disciplined and willing to learn & teach
• Possesses great communication skills (English is required, with Hindi is preferred)
• Has a background in education and/or with nursing skills (preferred)
