Triratri Weekends at Upasana – 2024

Carve out time to begin or enhance your spiritual practice and connect deeply with your own inner wisdom at Upasana Hilltop Sanctuary.

May 22 to May 26

July 10 to July 14

Aug 28 to Sept 1

Dec 4 – Dec 8

*All Triratris start on Weds afternoon and end Sunday mid-day.  We recommend arriving a day before and staying through end of the day on Sunday, if possible.

Triratri is an opportunity to connect with the sacred energies that are available in the days around the full moon through austerity and meditation. The emerging of the full moon is an auspicious time to bring something new into your life and experience that sense of illumination as the moon reaches its fullness

During the Triratri weekend, participants are encouraged to:

  • Observe silence
  • Eat a simple diet
  • Minimize the intake of the world through disengaging from mobile devices.
  • Practice meditation for 2-3 sittings of 30 – 60 minutes per day.
  • Babaji’s initiates should make a sankalp (intention) to perform a certain number of mala jap each day.
  • Participants who have not received a mantra will be instructed in a simple universal mantra to use for meditation.

Each night is dedicated to a different aspect of the Divine Feminine to remove the darkness from our minds, to acknowledge the True Wealth residing within us, and to connect us with Wisdom.  Each day includes chanting of traditional hymns honoring the Divine Mother and the Guru. Triratri concludes with a sacred fire ceremony that reconfirms our intentions for this focused time.

Triratri is a beautiful way to start a mediation practice or renew and strengthen your commitment to your practice.
